Antique Furniture is in the genes of the Hearne family in Beaconsfield,
Bucks, UK. The family has lived in the area since the fifteenth century and have
been making and selling furniture since at least 1840. Behind an unpretentious
eighteenth century shop front can be found one of the most comprehensive selections
of English Traditional Furniture in the country. You can browse our stock from
this site and check the latest antique and new furniture additions. If you would
like the full experience, you can still visit the showrooms in Beaconsfield! Our
constantly changing stock ranges from 17th Century Oak to Reproduction Yew and
Mahogany. We are still very much a family business, our roots deep in the locality.

about antique furniture, visit the British Antique Furniture Restorers' Association,
BAFRA the national organisation
of craftsmen and women in the United Kingdom. The Association raises public awareness
of the need for informed and sympathetic conservation of our heritage, in particular
antique furniture. Over the years a large amount of poor work has been done on
fine furniture by unqualified and unskilled people, sometimes causing irreversible
damage. BAFRA was founded in 1979 to safeguard the interests of owners and buyers
of antique furniture and the antique trade, as well as safeguarding the reputations
of qualified and experienced furniture conservator-restorers.
